Shops in Sweden are generally open from 9am to 6pm on the weekdays.
Keep in mind that shops close from 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays.
Larger department stores in Sweden may remain open as late as 10pm in the larger cities of Sweden, and many places are open on Sunday from 12 noon to 4pm.
The day before public holidays, you can expect shops to close early, and remain closed for the duration of the holiday.
Convenience stores, or narbutiker as they’re called in Sweden, are generally open from 7am to 11pm in big cities, which brings a whole new meaning to the word “convenience”. Also, you’ll find many gas stations open 24 hours a day.
